JAKTRX WOD Recovery Protein

WODrecovery was designed by CrossFitters, for CrossFitters. It has the highest amount of added leucine in the world, the first company globally to add glucosamine to a protein, and the first to add coconut oil.

Protein

A protein blend of Whey Protein Hydrolysate, Whey Protein Isolate and Micellar Casein provides the perfect mix of quick and slow release proteins, ensuring proper muscle recovery for the next day of exercise.

Glutamine

Intense exercise can quickly deplete glutamine levels in the muscle cells, therefore to reduce performance impairment, it is critical that stores of glutamine are replenished as quickly as possible. This reduces muscle soreness while boosting immune function.

JAKTRX Pro Mega Fish Oil

Why supplement with Fish Oil?

The short answer is that EPA and DHA are specific types of polyunsatured omega-3 fatty acids.  Your body cannot produce these fatty acids – you must get them from the food you eat, or via supplementation.  EPA and DHA are natural anti-inflammatory agents, and as such, play a role in brain health, heart health, protection against cancer, Alzheimer’s and depression, improvement of skin conditions like psoriasis and acne, fetal brain development, inflammatory bowel disorders, and arthritis, to name a few.

Our typical diets are rich in another type of pro-inflammatory polyunsaturated fatty acid called omega-6.  When our dietary intake of omega-6’s far exceeds our intake of omega-3’s, our bodies experience a wide range of negative consequences, all with the underlying cause of increased systemic inflammation.  Minimizing dietary intake of omega-6 fatty acids, and supplementing your intake of omega-3 fatty acids, helps to reduce inflammation, and the wide range of downstream effects.

Nutrition

Nutrition is the cornerstone of healthy living, and MUST be taken into consideration when attempting to achieve optimal results from a training program. As with program design, nutritional assessment and recommendations will be specific to each individual and will vary according to personal needs and goals. However, there are some general fundamental principles that can benefit anyone interested in leading a more health conscious lifestyle.

It is important to eat food from a variety of natural sources. Variety not only helps to ensure that you eat a balanced diet which contains all necessary vitamins and minerals, but it is much more satisfying as well. Many successful CrossFit athletes follow a “paleo” model diet or a variation of the Zone diet. We have found this approach extremely effective in promoting both health and performance and we will help coach you through the process of adapting it to your own life. Just like training, we can not do it for you, but we have been there and we are offering our experience and our knowledge to help you get where you want to be. This should be a learning process.

We carry these products at the gym because we support and trust these companies and these are the supplements that we use ourselves.

JAKTRX Cocowodder

BCAA’s

Branched Chain Amino Acids consist of Leucine, Isoleucine and Valine essential amino acids not produced by the body. They trigger protein synthesis and inhibit the breakdown of muscle cells. These are involved in cell replication and repair from intense exercise.

Coconut Water

Staying hydrated is one of the most important requirements for an athlete. Sweating from exercise depletes the body of important electrolytes. Coconut water is an excellent natural source of electrolytes to rehydrate the body.

Pre-Workout version has Caffiene

Q Energy Drink

What is Quercetin?

Quercetin is a bioflavonoid derived from fruits, plants and vegetables. Studies have shown quercetin to provide sustained energy, offer health and immune system support and provide powerful anti-inflammatory relief.

In addition to Quercetin, Q delivers a synergistic blend of 4 herbal extracts (rhodiola, ginseng, gingko biloba, and green tea), 8 essential vitamins (A, B1, B2, B3, B6, C, D & E) and electrolytes (potassium and sodium citrates) to help with performance and recovery
